For those of us in the U.S., happy Memorial Day. Remember folks like my Grandfather who was in WWII, although he never said if he was in any particular fighting… at least not when I was in earshot. He did, however, send home photos of ‘keep out’ signs on New Guinea. The signs were hung with human skulls. I assume this was well harrowing enough without doing any shooting at belligerent folks from opposing armies who would be shooting back and who presumably would NOT then go on to eat anyone. He didn’t seem to want to say much about any of it, by the time I was old enough to have any interesting questions. But he was my Grandpa, and he was really cool.
Hubris, meet Mr. Scatterbrain on the other end of the raft. Writing this trip off by being able to check on the product being shot that was sold to the investors… sure sounds like something Mr. S-C would do….
Happy Memorial Day, everyone!
Does Paste know any good lawyers? Did he keep Chase’s business card from back during the Stanky Fest?
Thanks to your grandfather, Greg; my maternal Grandfather (WWI), two maternal uncles (WWII), my father (Korea), a cousin (see one maternal uncle, Vietnam) … and those since then, Desert Storm and Afghanistan, and Iraq; thank you. May everyone have a good and enjoyable Memorial Day.
Oh Wow! My Pa was also in New Guinea in WWII. He was working on radios intercepting Japanese secret messages, but not involved in any fighting.
Why do I have a feeling, the “Scatterbrain” is Paste… remember White Water Bigfoot Hunter or what ever it was called?
Yeah that’s a major frontrunner…
Happy memorial day everyone, and god bless those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of freedom.
Banjos? Not the Banjos!
