I’ve long felt the most messed up meal one can have is a chicken omelette. Think about it: you’re getting the chicken at both ends of the life cycle in one bite.
You need to try oyakadon ((???), literally “parent-and-child donburi”) sometime. It’s a Japanese dish consisting of a chicken cutlet that’s cooked with some sliced scallions, a soy based sauce, and slightly scrambled egg, then served over a bowl of rice with the sauce poured over it. It may seem messed up, but it’s really delicious.
The Japanese writing didn’t carry over, hence the ???.
