(right now I’m disguising my love of same as mucking out my big pond (9k gallons, 8k is muck I swear) and planting and potting my greenhouse stuff… nothing like stirring up peatmoss potmix in a garbage can with hose water at a lovely overcast 45f with a good stiff breeze that always shifts so you’re downwind of said dry peatmoss)
And the mud wasn’t nearly that deep, although it felt like it when you crawled 300 yards and went rolling in the stream at the end of the course to rinse off (in 50-degree Fahrenheit weather too, gets cold in San Diego in early February)

In my day we called it .. oh yeah. A MUD RUN!! (of course people were firing bullets above my head..)
I was low-crawling while they fired the bullets over my head a.k.a. Basic Training!
