There’s usually at least one in every crowd, right? The person who worries that everyone is where they should be, doing what they should be, and thinking what they should be.
Donny is that person for this crowd. Everyone else has proven themselves to be pretty dang reckless, so they should count themselves lucky he’s there.
LMAO
I refuse to go in the water. I have thalassophobia – a deep and persistent fear of deep bodies of water.
Really? I could have sworn that was a fear of living in Tallahassee… 😛
I never had a phobia about it, just a deep dislike. My deep dislike got a dent when my father started taking the family to a canoeing river when I was young. I still worried about what I couldn’t see that might be right under the boat, but I learned to love the trips. The ocean is harrowing, but I learned to scuba dive, and it’s not so bad under the surface. Got older, kayaked a lot of rivers, and thought the fear was gone. Then visited Alaska and kayaked out into a hunk of ocean with actual huge beasts roaming around under the boat. Turns out the fear’s still there, I just learned to work with it so I could enjoy the water anyhow. If I’d had a phobia, though? Never would’a done ANY of that stuff.
My brother used to panic over sharks in the lakes in Wisconsin.
