Great, and the Press were all over this and CDL is allllll over the news, just like the person they always find to interview when something like this happens. All we need now is Chase R to have followed the news van and signed CDL to a contract to represent her… Just what Outdoor Galore and Hubris need, to be all over the news AND have the Crazy just have puppies… (not CDL and not the rescue dog)
The last thing you want is to have junkie blood flung all over your rescue when you’re trying to fix your hair for the morning show crew. It is the DEFINITION of “fine storytelling”.
oy vey…
Thanks, I needed that.
I was searching Gocomics yesterday for an alternate comic fix, and was amazed at what makes it into their “popular” list. I can understand Frazz, but Eric the Circle? If the rating is based on click count, maybe we should hammer that toon, see if we can get Hubris into the popular crowd.
I like that idea! Hey, everyone who’s reading this- If you have a minute and the inclination, how about jumping over the the ‘Other Hubris’ page http://www.gocomics.com/hubris and read stuff you read a month or so ago. We’ll see if that impacts something on the massive GoComics.com stats.
THANKS!!
I think the popular list is somewhat random. And, one difference between Eric and Hubris is that Eric has 5,900 subscribers (most of whom can draw and submit their own Eric cartoons to be run in the strip) and Hubris has 3,700 subscribers. While posting more comments in the older Hubris strips may have an impact, getting into the popular list is kind of a catch-22 – you need more readers to become more popular…
Also, doing a quick scan of past Eric strips, the average comment count is 3 a day. Hubris has that easily beat by a factor of 3 or 4.
I already visit gocomics (including your reprints) daily. *Sob* my stats are obviously not enough…
I have *no* idea how that “most popular” widget works. I’m tempted to say ‘random number’ but yeah, Eric the Circle often appears. Now if xkcd were to show up, I’d understand… (But they don’t run xkcd)
and then after wards the mean old animal cotrol came and hauled crazy dog lurlenes’ precious bluto away and she wound up in the er too strapped as sack guys blood was checked to make sure he was not spreading any thing.
