That’s a nice sized climbing wall, isn’t it?
I’d imagine you’d need two or three mats down there on the ground.

Nah, just plenty of spectators
The first 3 or 4 climbers should be fine, since the grass is springy. After that, the pit they form is going to get closer and closer to concrete. The last climber of the day, if they fall, will be known as “stubby” from then on.
There’s a gym in Austin, TX, where one wall is over twenty feet tall, and a lot of climbers go up without a rope. I’ve seen a few people just drop down instead of making a controlled descent. Even with foam-padded flooring on the walkway, I know two guys that had to be wheeled out because of badly sprained ankles.

Rent a really big bouncy castle.
In the REI store here in the Twin Cities they have the Pinnacle, a 55-foot spire with easy to expert climbing avenues. The floor is shredded rubber over concrete but they have ropes and seats as you wouldn’t want to land from that height. I climbed it once and was glad for the rope to lower you down.
TO dream the impossible dream…. wow.
About six bales of fine hay (not that sticker stuff full of alfalfa or slough grass) busted and pull the strings out of there, will do it. Add a bale about every 6 whomps and you’re good.
