I’ll see your break and sprain, and raise you two contusions and a crushed internal organ.

I’ll raise you permanent psychological damage at the hands of my “mother”.

Call, and raise you the damage caused by a callous foster care system where the parents are in it for the money, because they really really *like* children, or to practice being parents.

Beaten by step father, who left hand prints + belt print.
          Sent to Foster Care.
Brought home, so mother could buy sister ‘better stereo’ for Christmas with extra gov’nt money cuz I was ‘living’ at home.
Sent to treatment and than grouphome.
hmmm what else has happened to me…

Right … at 18, went to “mother” to ‘apologize for being a bad child’ … she replied ‘I don’t ever want to see you, or your sister again, you’re a pain in the arse. You gave your step dad a heart attack. I should have done what your grandmother suggested, and aborted you. F–k off, get out of my life’.
10 years later, she told my cousin that she still wished I was dead, and she was better off without me.
I told her I pitied her. Haven’t seen her since 2000, haven’t ‘talked’ to her since 2010.

Sorry, staying out of this one. Only broken bone I got was my 4th metacarpal, right hand. Got it carrying my bass amp onto the stage after hitting a canopy support and trying to keep it from sliding off my shoulder. Only thing worth bragging about: Played the entire set. I should not have waited ’til the next day to see the doctor, that was stupid.

The only bone I ever broke completely was an ankle. I have no idea if I should admit that it was on a trampoline.

I’m sorta clumsy, and it’s a wonder I haven’t done more serious damage while kayaking whitewater, and to a lesser degree, biking trails or unicycling … anything, or even skateboarding.

I fully expect I’ll break a hip one day. The left one, unless I miss my guess.

    Okay…
    Broken nose, x4
Last time stuffed sock in my mouth and pulled it back into place almost immediately so they wouldn’t have to rebreak it in the ER which was 45 min away. All happened before I graduated HS.
Bone in top of right foot, x2 same one, x1 different one. Broke one once with a trailer thwack 5 min into event I was in charge of, got to run around like that for 7 hours and ON it until we were done and cleaned up, then hobbled to ER.
Toes, mostly little; 21+27 + big right x2, +next to little toe right x1.
(yes my littles are by courtesy still toes and were ‘remade’ into toe like toes several years ago) long story about how so many and yes I got my revenge on the reason I kept getting them broken…I also got to be a pro at taping them up.

Tore up right ankle twice, second included one heckuva sprain. Have bone in right wrist that used to pop out so often I learned to put it back in myself. Tore a few things in my right knee once, still walk a little funny sometimes (they didn’t believe in PT or rehab in those days like they do now)

LOTS of stitches all over the outside not including surgery and none of nothing done in my mouth (stitches inside your mouth really blow wads) Most non surgery stitches at one time, 11.

Have not broken anything in almost 5 years. Most of my breaks are over 15 years ago. Want to keep it that way. Last stitches about a year ago.

See, I really relate to Hubris… 🙂 Just wish I had racked more of this up doing FUN things I could regret later but still grin about doing!
