Hey, Bob just made a bunch of those $600 artisanal sandals for a bunch of clueless along his travails. He makes a pair in under an hour for less than $10, he lives well.
That was my guess too!! A pair of sandals for someone in the Silicon Valley…..
That looks like at least a few thousand, even with not being bent over, maybe $5k. So the profit off 100 pair of sandals and Bob lived well to boot/foot with taking a cut.
We already know that Bob acts as a surfer model, and he wins surf contests. So, it’s most likely he got the money as a prize from a box of Cracker Jacks.
Bob would give you the shorts off his butt. Literally, we’ve seen him do it.
Does he know the value of money or does he know what he values?

okay, I fully agree with Nikki. Not only they all left her alone with the rent and the rest but, my biggest question would be ‘WHERE DID HE GET SO MANY MONEY!!!!’

I’ll second that accolade! xkcd was my gateway intro to web comics, which led me to Questionable Content, and then the floodgates opened wide. Not sure whether I should be grateful or resentful, but it’s been quite a series of revelations…
I suspect that money just happens to Bob when he needs it, just like food, shelter, etc.

Amethyst comes from the Greek meaning “not intoxicated” and was believed you couldn’t get drunk while wearing it.
I think Bob knows how to make money when he needs it but his lifestyle doesn’t demand much. One measure of wealth is based not on how much you have but how little you need, making him about as rich as anyone else in this comic.
