In life, you don’t take no second chances.

His first time, he’s gotta pace himself I guess. Give him a moment, then yell “Bear!” or “Badger!” or “Killer rabbit!” or something like that.

      More stress. Good plan.

And in reference to yesterday’s posting of the bike rally with Phoenix Rising . . . (which appears to be conspicuously missing)
Can’t say I’ve ever played anything that wild, but many years ago some friends of mine and I played a gig in Isanti, about an hour north of Minneapolis for a NA (Narcotics Anonymous) campout in the middle of a huge grassy field. I never saw so many motorcycles in my life, and they ended up being some of the nicest people I’ve met and were very appreciative of the music we provided.
Next time you might bring some copies of your airbrush work and show them to some of the bikers. Might be able to earn some extra spending money in your spare time (yeah, I know–“What spare time?”) Anyway, just a thought that you’ve probably had already.

Someone must not have liked the photo. Two words: censor bar.

Is there anyone else who can no longer see the Phoenix Rising/Biker Rally story? I didn’t take it down. I can still see it on my system. Anyone know why Tom isn’t getting it any longer?

I can see the Phoenix Rising thing as long as I haven’t opened the comments, even on this page.

Nothing like the feeling of cheating death and scaring the s**t out of you to make you feel alive. I felt that way after getting caught out in the middle of the lake in a tech sailboat just before a storm rolled in out of nowhere, kicking up 3 foot waves and turning the sky green. The fastest way in is to tack into the storm, which you will resist instinctively; while trying to keep perpendicular to the wave crests, which just submarines the bow; and once you get past the leeward side of the dock, tack out, full sail and fully hiked out. May god have mercy on your soul if you capsize or turtle. As I waited out the remainder of the storm at the lakeside cafe, there were still crews of canoers struggling to make landfall with their boat. Visibility was too low for the lake rescue crew to be of much use. Ever since then, I became a fair weather only sailor, avoiding the water if there is the slightest chance of rain.

Yeah, cheating death. I always uncontrollably laugh like a maniac when that happens. How about the rest of you?

It’s back. Don’t know what happened, tried going back & forward in the comics, but my internet went down on Friday along with the digital phone, prompting a call to the local cable provider and 20 minutes of resetting modems. That might’ve been part of it.
