I don’t know… Bob’s proving to be one of those subtly smart people. He’s got a grasp on things that Paste is totally not getting. Why else would he point out karma to Paste as being why they were working and Hubris wasn’t.
Some reason Bob reminds me of the chimney sweep in Mary Poppins. Make fun all you want, but he’s still got the upper hand on you. He just won’t Use it.
I agree with kstormgemini – Bob knows things that most of us do not. He’s … in touch with Mother Earth, The Sky, and many other things.
He’s probably smarter than most of us, but doesn’t use it.
He’s the opposite, if you will, of Dr. Sheldon Cooper. Just sayin’.
Typical and normal thinking for a child is how I would describe Bob´s evaluation of the situation. I remember having the same thoughts when I was 3 years old, about my dad going to work mainly because I wanted to have him at home. A purely selfish reasoning. At the same time children have a grasp of reality that as adults we have neglected and/or rejected. Rejecting isn´t the right approach either as the untainted mind (not pure) of a child knows things and doesn´t reject what is true until that truth is uncomfortable. Only the rebellious mind of adults and adolescents(Paste) are capable of that type of hiding from truth. That is what Bob is making of the truth he knows the same as Paste. they are like 2 sides of the same coin.
Hubris just proved why it’s good to be the boss… and ‘other duties as assigned’ is something to FEAR in a job description.
It may be good to be the boss, but not when your employees consist of people like Paste and Bob…

That’d be fine, if his job didn’t include mopping the floor, selling wheel bearings to confused customers, and not living in Hubris’ ceiling joists.
Karma dude.
