This is no joke i actually am a recovering alcoholic going on a 1 and 3 months thing is its has hard has people make it i quit without AA or Rehab, Took three goes to 3 different rehand centers before i finally quit on my own using will power and sheer stubborness had to it was either keep drinking or quit my dad was dealing with cancer issues so that was what the final deciding factor for me was, and i havent touched a drink since may 24th 2014, and let me tell you i dont ever regret stopping proudest moment of my life. But Alcoholism is a serious problem, that does kill people the biggest problem with it tho is alot of it is missunderstood by people who dont have the problem, alot of people think its a choice, but its not, I certinily didnt ask to be born this way. But in the end I made the hardest choice i choose to stop, and i have never felt better.
Glad you have control of your life! And glad you can be here to say so. I hope I haven’t been to silly or off-putting with Durnell in this arc. His behavior is based on someone I know and care about, and whose name I’m not tellin’ ya. I sort of alluded to his drinking when I first wrote him into the stories years ago, and thought it’d be a good time to tinker around a bit with it before we jump into kayaks and then into the line of paintball fire.
Greg – Regarding my comment yesterday about Jane’s World going to Stanky Creek, turns out the strip is in reruns, and the original story ran starting on June 10, 2011.
Paige is cheating by copying you before you even started doing the story!
Paste made me snort. But all of that is true…
So the big Lawyer Weekend is about to happen?
Foster Brooks was the funniest man on stage. Ever.
Still is.
I feel for ya, Durnell, I know exactly where you’re coming from.
Buy you a beer?

Glad that you’ve been sober this long man … I know others in your situation, and it’s NOT easy. I’ll say a prayer for ya!

OOoooh, I knew she was good, but I didn’t know just HOW good.
Greg – nice hint at good ol’ Mr. and Mrs. Capp in your comic … it’s obvious without being subtle. 😉
