Oops. First, I lost the internet/cable on account of a large pecan limb attacking the wires in my back yard.
Then, as I’m trying to get things done til I get my cable back, my desktop Apple dies. Dies BIG TIME. Damn.
Anyway, here’s a cartoon that I had to jump through hoops to get to you.
Not sure how tomorrow’s gonna be. Hang tight.
Owie…may you get it sorted with the pecan tree soon.
We understand, give us a day later in the week if you need to.
As for Kara, this may be her stress test of this relationship, I’d be upset to be sitting on a rock very thirst in the dead dark. I would have also left while there was some light left to get back to the campsite and fetch Hubris with a lantern if needed… surprised they don’t have some pocket flashlights with them (even a baygen)….
Hmmm….have you offended this particular pecan tree somehow, that it should throw it’s limbs at you? Hope your internet’s fixed soon. Still loving the Stanky Creek Outdoor Fest!
Welcome back, Greg!
Jumping through hoops is a Stanky Creek event. It’s good to see you practicing for next year!
A dead apple and a pecan limb attacking your internet cable, that’s just plain nuts.
And that’s how you were born, son!!
makes for things even more interesting? lol
Sorta expected to see Hubie’s teeth shining in the dark in the last panel. He should be grinning big time at Kara’s exasperation.
How do you figure THAT, Kara? The Dub-Cthula donnybrook was about as banana-whip crazy as it gets, yet I never got any sense that Hubris loved it. Or maybe what you mean is that Hubris seems to be a magnet for all manner of banana-whip crazy events, but it doesn’t follow that he wants or wills them to happen. And your current predicament isn’t so much crazy as inconvenient. But take heart: once you go home, you can probably expect the return of the irregularly scheduled banana-whip craziness that you have come to know and ‘love.’
Isn’t it cheering to know that you always have something to look forward to?
And where’s her flashlight? They have some really cool LED pen lights that get plenty bright, and a doctor should be prepared.
