It’s weird, going to the skatepark at unfamiliar times.
I’ve only occasionally gone during what most people consider normal hours, and the number of people- skating, waiting, standing, visiting, talking, smoking, whatever- is astonishing to me or anyone else accustomed to going at daybreak when you rarely have to watch out for incoming skaters, and can exhaust yourself completely making run after run with no one to complain that you’re old and in the way.
I can do the ‘wait your turn’ thing pretty effectively, but it’s nerve wracking.
Plus, if you fall down while there are lots of other folks waiting their turn, you feel like you have to pop straight back up and get out of the way. I prefer the morning when I can lie there and make pain angels if I feel like it.
(I laughed so hard I nearly had to empty out my shoes)
The revelations of the early morning, eh, Paste?????
Well there is their private skatething in the basement, maybe Paste needs to grind a few hours down there?
Ahh, that soul-crushing moment when you discover you suck, through no fault but your own.
Yup. And maybe, just maybe, it would motivate someone to practice harder.
Moments like those make some men, and break others. Let’s see Paste’s shame will forge him into a better skater, or shatter his will to continue.
Either way, I expect delicious schadenfreude.
Pain angels.
Probably the one activity that everyone can participate in, no matter the sport.
Hallucenating angels? Yeah, I’ve smacked/macked/pwaked myself hard enough. Now moving there a bit after I trashed myself? Only to see if things answer or if I should just braille 911 on my cellphone… if it survived.

Their system seems a little scrambled lately, too. Some days, it seems to let you vote twice or maybe three times, and other days, it tells you that you’ve already voted but can vote again in 2 hours, but then two hours later, it says you’ve already voted and that you can vote again in 9. Very confusing.
Yeah I see what your talking about
