Nah, I don’t think Paste could be a little Durnell… For one thing, Durnell seems to have a few more manners than Paste does or likely ever will have. (Paste doesn’t have enough patience to cultivate being mannerly. It would get in the way of him doing what he wanted Here-n-Now. I doubt it would occur to him that if he just Pretended to care about others, he might get more out of them.)
For another, Paste isn’t that kind of showman. Yes he enjoys going for the wild sports and that. But Durnell’s okay with letting Others do crazy nonsense and Paste just wouldn’t be able to sit back when he could enter into the fray too instead.
As an aside, I know somebody will like nail me with an exploding frisbee for asking this, but I Do wonder what, if anything, is going on with Lowell.
I just have a dark suspicion that if one doesn’t keep a wary eye on that bugger, one might have him show up out of nowhere at the worst possible time and wreak havoc on anything and everything.
