The writer can write about his trek up the mountain; how exhausting it was and how many times he had to stop and catch his breath and have a smoke on the trail.

Because he sure reminds me of somebody I’ve read but for the life of me, I can’t Quite put a finger on who. I’m actually serious. Or maybe an actor… I guess he Kind of reminds me of Ed Asner when he was a lot younger (though Mr. Asner always smoked a cigar I think…) but…

Perhaps Cravens was inspired by George Plimpton, who would undertake new activities and write books about them. Except Plimpton looked nothing like Glasses Dude. If you could distill Connecticut, it might look, sound and write like George Plimpton.
