This was sent to me by Kevin, my buddy who used to ride, significantly, unicycles with me on the local dirt trails…Click on the photo to see the video!
Ummm . . . I can understand balancing on a unicycle, but how does one balance on this thing? Seems that either the nose or tail would be on the ground much of the time (but I admit, I like the thought!) Looks like a go-kart racing slick.
My brother sent me a link to the kickstarter too… On the one hand, it looks fun… On the other hand, I feel like it’s cheating (and my 36″ uni is prolly faster ;))
Eh. It’s another toy. No reason to avoid a new toy just ’cause you own old toys. I tried riding a friend’s 36″ uni (the one he passed me on during a duathlon race… after he stopped for a cigarette break during the race…argh) and I think I’ll stick with my 26″. I don’t wanna pedal a uni I can’t outrun in case of UPD.
Surprised he didn’t have a beer with it (not as odd as you’d think–they did a study where they had a group of women working out, they gave water to half and beer to the other half. Guess which ones were hydrated quicker?)

A story on this toy just showed up on Yahoo news.
Again, Hubris is ahead of the curve!
I know I’m late, but . . . yeah, it makes much more sense with the video.
