Several of you have said I need to create a little video of my drawing Hubris (and/or The Buckets) so here’s one-
I will say that, if it seems rushed, that’s only because I already had it written (and lettered on the pencil layout sheet) before I started the camera.
All you get is me doing the pencils and then the ink work. Hope it’s not too dull.
I like the music!
Much as I love a good Angus riff (and I even have Thunderstruck on my playlist for when I’m running) I’d like to see this same clip with Yakety Sax playing instead. 🙂
Man, we think alike! I actually started off with the intention of using yakkity sax, and found the AC/DC track on my way there. It seemed to work, so I left off the search.
So… you start with the conversations, then move onto the boxes, background, and finally the people?!
I do all the writing, then put all the lettering in place, then figure out how much room is left for the drawings, then doodle everything in place, then ink the whole thing- lettering, balloons & bubbles & borders, then artwork in the space left for it. Yeah. Then it gets scanned, cleaned up a little, the copyright tag and sig gets added, then color. Then a second copy is made for sizing down to website resolution, then I post it. Vóila.
