It’s like when you go to the fights and a hockey game breaks out… But only because the fight was rigged, and everyone was hoping for hockey anyhow.

Okay so Paste paid $1000 for about a 100-150 wholesale trophy, if it isn’t all plastic. Still he could have saved himself the $ and ordered one from a wholesale trophy place or even gone to a trophy and plaque place and maybe paid about $200 and they would have engraved it anyway he wanted.
At least Kelly might get some real footage. 🙂
Betting the whole thing gets quietly shut down and all the money for the buy-a-cup and entry fees and the sponsor have to be returned.
Chase R is still going to miss out here I think, as it will be probably other and deeper pocket Attorneys sic’ed on this one…
Paste has the trophy that’s all that really matters.
“Who has the trophy? I do, that’s who! I do, baby!”
The problem here is that with no judges at all, everyone is going to claim that they did the hole better than everyone else, unless there is ONE “walks on water” that everyone else bows down before.
True there are no “judges” per sé, but then like Kara said, the “judges” they Did have weren’t boaters/rafters/etc anyway so meh.
Basically, this is where the Real competition happens where each is judged “by a jury of their peers.”
And the “trophy” is just the right to look at their peers and go, “you saw that. you were there. I Rawked!”
Which honestly, as cliché as it seems, is the best kind of win anyway.
From the alt text a couple days ago: “Pete Luchia is the green hair guy from the shop, who bought the paddle. Can you guess what his nickname is?”
And from today: “There’s the green haired guy again. Still don’t know his name?”
I guess that Luchador and Lucky aren’t right. That leaves “The Mean, Lean Green Machine”, “Avocado”, “Grassy”, “Lucha Libre” and “Pete”.
All very fine guesses. The answer is in an upcoming strip. I’m not at the drawing board, though, and I can’t recall if it’s tomorrow’s or Friday. I think it’s Friday. So you’ve got some time to build on TSOJ’s fine, fine, and yet incorrect, guesses.
OH KEWL, so we get some extra strips this week. THAT ROCKS! !!!!!!!!!
I’d rather be fine than correct anytime.
that one guy should know better then to challenge kara he will live to regret it as paste is now going to brag about having a trophy and not having to have to do anything to get it.
