Went to a cartoonist meeting tonight and inked this comic strip sitting at a table in a pizza restaurant. Nice change of pace.

Um, hope son is okay with Dad borrowing and possibly trashing his ride… and Dad is okay with probably needing stitches, casts and traction…
Hm.
Hubris: “Before we start, again, we’re going to do the watermelon test… Please come back in 15 minutes and we’ll let you know if the watermelon as reached bottom yet.”
OH boy … this can’t end well.
I hope Mit Lief Insurance was able to get a good underwriter for the policy cuz I think Hubby will need it.
This is what amazes me–that Mitt Leif managed to issue a policy for this event…..period. Wondering if Mr. Leif will remain married after this one… his Mrs was having a dim view of his extended crisis before this (one strip where she comes in with the Mr. and tells Hubris to sell him a skateboard, by the time he healed up she hoped he’d be over it)
I think all participants had to sign liability waivers so the guy on the left, it’s going to be more like his own medical insurance and having to take time off from work….
Someone is about to wake up in a hospital bed…
I actually saw a situation similar to this on the train. Guy was admitting to using his kids bike to start bicycle commuting to work. It was a decent ride but definitely too small for him. I think he was using his kids helmet too. He may have given up as that was the only time we saw him which would be bad if he did.
