It’s “nice” to see people in loooovvvve, ain’t it?
It’s a little more alarming when you’re seeing people getting all Lovey-dovey.
And when the people in question are well past retirement age… well, it’s maybe time to change the subject and not think about it any more.
You’re thinking about it, aren’t you.
Well, so long as you’re not thinking about your grandparents like that.
Ohhhhh, now you kinda ARE, aren’t ya. Ew.
So, last night was old people sex night. On the plus side, this subject may not come up again any time for the rest of this year…
Use it or lose it.
Ya know, some of us ARE that age.

I’m getting closer to it.
If I’m lucky.
My wife and I are in our 60s and, well, use it or lose it.
For YOU to have been born, your nono and nona got jiggy with it … they did the horizontal Mamba … even your GREAT GRANDPARENTS did.
NOW… get those images out of your head.
The older one gets the dimmer the lights are to set the mood. I’m definitely in the era of the lights are off and it all happens by braille.
Glad the two are finding a second pass at life there. Heh.
I worked in a retirement home and let me tell you, the candle still burns even in the twilight years. I’ll spare you the ones that had to have help to get set up and more help to get untangled after… and by patient’s rights the staff had to do so… (brain bleach)
“by braille” hehehehe
There once was a barmaid in ‘Sailles,
Tattooed on her breasts was the prices of ale,
And on her behind, for the sake of the blind,
Was exactly the same, just in Braille.
Real silver dollars mister? not the ones with President Ike on them? I’ll give you, umm five bucks apiece for ’em … yeah five, that’s the ticket.
Mr. Cranky seemed to be the kind of guy who’d have cash on hand, stashed in ammo boxes, amassed over a lifetime, and for use during the Downfall Of Man.
Seem that way to you guys, too?
It does, assuming cash of any kind has value during the downfall of man.
Metal. Not ‘cash’, I guess.
I have a good friend that sells hand culled landrace seeds for garden stuff. I will say the whatever is hardy and man it will grow even with some neglect. His family has owned the land for many generations and in honor of the first owner, who sold seeds, for a silver dime a packet. Or $5. I usually buy a roll of junk dimes when I want some of his seeds, and I can guess that he’s sitting on quite a bit of silver coins now. It’s still cheaper to buy a roll and mail that instead of cash cash. I can see Grover old enough to have collected Kennedy and Ben silver when it was around, even Washington (Dollar, half dollar, and quarter, respectively). (Dimes are either barber, mercury, or Roosevelt. My complaint now is most of the dimes are now BU (brilliant uncirculated) and very pricey)
Gold and silver may lose some value, but they’ll never be worthless, even when paper money is. It’ll always, at the very least, be worth its weight.
