hope paste is trying to catch the whole thing on video and put it on you tube. the cop is going to need over time just for trying to convince his boss everything going on by lowel and the lawer is real.
Police officers of my acquaintance are often level-headed and very calm, by nature or by training. The ones you see on TV are often only being shown because they have lost their level-headed calm. And, in some cases, have gone all red-brigade nutsy cuckoo.
Cops in Hawaii when facing a rampaging elephant, had found out that pistol rounds just made the elephant mad, most calmly (but quickly) went to a gun store for heavier armament (a whole bunch of lever guns FTW) and stopped that elephant. Levelheadedness in sheer insanity is kinda normal.
Colorado Springs, 2005, the buffalo that got loose from the meat plant and rampaged up to a friend’s yard. He was at work. They had the zoo who had dart guns that could drop such things. They had two military surplus not far away that had weaponry and rounds to drop them properly. They had the meat packing plant, who could have brought a trailer and baited it with feed and the buffalo would have probably walked right back into the trailer. No. The police had to sit there and decide to approach the fence, repeatedly, so the buffalo would charge it. If they stayed away from the fence, the buffalo were eating the lawn and the garden and calm. Then police fired revolvers and a few small cal rifles rounds at it. They put holes in his house and garage, and they couldn’t hit the broadside of anything but they put a lot more in the neighbor’s house on the OTHER side of friend’s house and away from where the buffalo were. Official word long after the fact; where the local report was 11-15 in the vehicle and close to 80 in the one house; my friend, found three in his house and two in his garage. More like 200 rounds were fired….
Yeah, with the new vertical format, navigation suddenly involved scrolling half the time. So, the buttons are now atop and on bottom of the cartoon, and a little less clutter-y. You let me know if you preferred the clutter-y ones.
Then you won’t mind my décor style, early Chaos and Entrophy covered with a protective flocking of dust. Bring a six, I’ll toss something on the grill… and I promise to beat the dust off the couch with the broom first….
Gods&Fishes, sounds like some things that have crossed the dispatch desk here lately. No I won’t elaborate, but.
Greg, wondering if we’re worthy of you! This is a good’n….
Lawyer in the parking lot, stinkin’ to h-i-g-h heaven.
Dash cam? Phone picks?

All’s I can say is that this strip reminds me of a day in my misspent youth… with lawn darts…

To be sure, SOMEBODY has to have this recorded for immortality. Maybe Crazydoglady?
Nah, too busy growling.
I really gotta applaud this officer’s levelheadedness when confronted with the sheer insanity on display here.
