Nice of him, isn’t it? Steven, to step in and ask the question that Kara needs asked.
It might have been awkward for her to throw that out to Hubris and have to admit she really never asked about his family.
Steven’s a nice boy.

Greg’s drawing weird dreams tonight! Yay!
Yes but it still doesn’t answer the real, underlying question now, does it?
Gone *how*?
Dead?
Disappeared?
Into hiding?
Insane?
Out of the country somewhere?
I’ve followed Hubris now for years, and have found it generally very funny and warm. But the way he dances around an explicit declaration of exactly what happened to his dad is immensely frustrating. ‘Gone’ says nothing useful to the sort of person who craves _knowing_.
I know I should probably follow the MST3K mantra – it’s only a comic strip and I really should relax – but…
It’s okay. It is really a hard thing for Hubris, as well. Even with death, sometimes you feel like they are all just … over there…
Old wounds still hurt. Especially when ripped open again.
The art and the subtext in the comic is superb. Exhaustion, regret, pulling at the edges of an untold story.. You really are a master at your craft.
(this didn’t show up to me for a whole day, weird)
Poor Hubris. Dead tired, absurdity, and still, his dad is gone.
Owie.
Greg posted this on Saturday.
And I checked.
It’s okay, the twilight zone likes to mess with me and the ether plus all my techy toys, all the time.
