This is where I should mention how much athleticism goes into producing a comic strip. When I tell young cartoonists this I usually get a jaw drop. But let’s face it drawing all day involves muscle coordination, and doing it for years on end is as likely to give one a “repetitive stress injury” as any sport. So it’s important to keep your body in shape by getting out and doing something other than simply drawing. It’s nice to know that one doesn’t necessarily have to engage in team sports to be an athlete. Thanks for Hubris, Greg. Now to go do something other than hang out in the studio.
Yeah, my kids had one of him. Man of steel from the neck up. Said skiing was not “exercise. I always wanted to put him at the top of, oh, even the bunny hill, and give him a push- see how exercised HE was when he got to the bottom! My kids were in the top ski class (live in Vermont where the kids go to the local ski hill on Thursday afternoons and the parents teach) but they didn’t really play basketballso they weren’t HIS kind of sporty

I did all those sports when I was young and immortal. I’m a middle aged lazy now.
